Sharing memories with every loaf of fresh bread.
Sharing memories with every loaf of fresh bread.
Our mission is to rise daily in honor of those we love and have lost, our son Brandon, our niece Elisa, and the many others still struggling. To spread awareness about mental health through the healing act of baking artisanal sourdough, we share love, remembrance, and hope, rising each day to remind one another: Please pause; you are the reason you are enough.
Rise & Remember was born from unimaginable loss and enduring love. Our son Brandon died by suicide just two years after we lost our loved niece, Elisa, who was like a daughter, to the same silent epidemic claiming so many of our loved ones. Mental health struggles and the pressure of everyday life weigh heavily on so many, often in silence.
Brandon was deeply loving, loyal, kind, and protective. He had a quiet strength, a sharp mind, a beautiful soul, and a disarming smile. His quiet presence was magnetic to those lucky enough to know him. Though he couldn't see the beauty in himself, everyone around him did. His story is why we share ours.
After losing Brandon, his mom turned to sourdough baking as a form of therapy to get her through some of the darkest days. A rhythm that offered purpose and solace. Each loaf became a way to honor Brandon, to keep moving forward, and carry his love with us.
Every loaf is a tribute. A reminder to rise above our struggles, remember our loved ones, and hold space for love and loss.
At the heart of Rise & Remember is a simple team - Brandon's parents.
This journey began as a way to cope with the unimaginable loss of our son, and it has grown into something that helps us heal, connect, and keep his memory alive. Together, we bake, prepare, and share each loaf with love and intention.
More than just making bread, we are spreading awareness about mental health and honoring the many families, like ours, who have felt the weight of loss. Every step we take in this business, we take side by side, guided by Brandon's love and the strength he left behind in us.
Currently, our team consists of just the two of us, but every person who shares a loaf, a story, or a moment of remembrance becomes part of this journey.
